The Yakuza comes to the Prince to ask if they can capture a protected Madripoor spider monkey as they claim they can make a cure for cancer from its brain. What they can really make is a deadly drug called Thunderbolt which kills the user after a single dose. As they figure Patch is the only person who can put a hitch in their plan, the Yakuza sends a cadre of assassins to kill him and three bad guys hopped up on the designer drug almost succeed.
